OTS Newsletter - Winter/Spring 2006

The "Back Page"

OTS’s 21st Annual Dinner was kicked off in November with a Pace-Setter event for the Great Neck community at the home of Ezra and Renee Dabah. Pictured: Dinner Guest of Honor Adam Katz (left), and Stanley Silverstein, whose inauguration of the Chana and Yaakov Tilles Campus at Midreshet Lindenbaum, together with wife Raine, was celebrated at the Dinner. Also honored at the Dinner was Otto Pretsfelder, upon whom the title “Chaver” was bestowed.

Mrs. Edith Everett chats with Jewish Week editor Gary Rosenblatt at a lecture co-sponsored by OTS’s Henry Everett Institute of Ethics and the Robert M. Beren College of Beit Morasha of Jerusalem. Lt. General Moshe “Boogie” Ya’alon, Former Chief of General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, delivered the evening’s address on “The Ethical Dilemmas of Warfare,” followed by a panel discussion including Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, Chancellor of OTS and President of Beit Morasha, and Professor Benjamin Ish-Shalom, Rector of the Beren College and founder of Beit Morasha.

“Next Year in… Efrat”

Next time you visit Israel, stay with us! OTS’s newly-refurbished Neveh Efrat Guest House remains the only hotel in Gush Etzion. Just a ten-minute drive from Jerusalem and close to Efrat’s commercial center, the 24-room guesthouse with on-premises synagogue offers accommodation for visiting individuals, families or groups, year-round. The guesthouse’s banquet halls, under the new management of Lemon Dvash Catering, hold up to 100 people and are available for a variety of events.

For special group rates, contact the manager at 972-50-634-0250, or email limor@ots.org.il.
