The Ethel and Adolph Beren Educators Institute

The Ethel and Adolph Beren Educator's Institute, located in Jerusalem and at the Israel Henry Beren Campus on the outskirts of Efrat, is the newest addition to Ohr Torah Stone.

The groundbreaking two-year course is dedicated to the comprehensive training of committed, motivated and engaging educators who will be sent to teach Judaic Studies in both Orthodox and non-Orthodox state and community schools across Israel and the Diaspora.

In addition to a strong background in both Jewish and secular studies, program participants possess a deep dedication to Jewish continuity, coupled with a broad and open outlook which is welcoming and accepting of every Jew. At the Beren Institute, they receive the tools they will need in order to effectively awaken in their students an enthusiasm and pride in their religion and a knowledge and love of their heritage.

Beren students are taught the methods and means with which to successfully convey to their charges the excitement and significance inherent in Jewish studies; they are trained to effectively expose Jewish studies as complex, meaningful and relevant to the next generation of Jewish students. At the same time, Beren educators offer a vital contribution toward the transformation of Jewish Education, the development of Modern Orthodoxy, and the intensification of Jewish identity worldwide.
