Ohr Torah Stone's faculty, staff and student body wish Rabbi Brovender a refu'ah shleima - a quick and complete recovery - from the injuries and trauma he sustained in last week's attack. more
The Brovenders have requested that people give 36 shekels to tzedaka in thanks for the nes galui that the Rabbi is alive, and for his continued refuah sh'lemah. His name is Chaim ben Sarah Rachel.
We thank all of you who have emailed us and asked us to pass on your best wishes for a refuah shl'emah to Rabbi Brovender. Those of you who would like to email Rabbi Brovender directly should write to rcb@yhol.org.il

Our most profound statement of faith, the biblical verse "Hear O Israel the Lord our G-d the Lord is One", is always recited while covering one's eyes with one's hand. It seems to me that this is in order to teach us not to be distracted by what we see....
